Enjoy all of the luxuries, privileges and comforts of a magnificent 19th century residence – Casa Susegad is a restored colonial mansion house situated at the far edge of the village of Loutolim in South Goa.
Set in one and a half acres of grounds, we are surrounded by lush forest and jungle in a quiet corner of the village. Life continues on around us as it has done for decades, unspoilt by the trappings and distractions of mass tourism.
Casa Susegad is one of the largest traditional houses in the village, and has been restored sympathetically to the highest standards of comfort and luxury.
Guests enjoy their own house lounge, with overhead fans and deep, comfortable, built-in sofa seating. The guest lounge is designed to give you the option of fan assisted siestas in great comfort, as well as a cosy place to spend a few hours in the evenings. There is a well stocked library, plenty of games, CD’s, DVD’s and a large LCD screen with satellite TV.
Our six dogs and six cats will give you a warm welcome and seek to become your very good friends during your stay!
They are all rescued animals and we are long time supporters of the Goa Animal Welfare Trust.
The area abounds in wild life with long tailed langurs (the local monkeys) often visiting – particularly when our fig, mango, cashew and other trees are in fruit. The bird life is wonderful, with bird song filling the air, especially in the early morning and at dusk.
One of the best places to experience the wonders of nature is up on the Sunset Terrace – The western view to the jungle clad hills between 5 and 7pm is spectacular, and will give you the perfect alternative location for that pre-dinner drink!
