Your visit to Goa is incomplete without a trip to the historic churches & temple, Goa’s centuries – old traditions exist even today in a lifestyle that allows the visitor a most unique experience. Situated to the north of Ponda near the village of Priol, is the Shri Mangueshi Temple located on a hillock surrounded by lush green hills. Later proceed to Old Goa to visit the famous to the churches of Goa. The Basilica of Bom Jesus, which represents the rich and varied heritage of Goa. It stands as the best example of baroque architecture. It is here that the mortal remains of St. Francis Xavier are enshrined in a silver casket containing an airtight glass coffin. The Se Cathedral is one of the largest churches in Goa. The construction reflects the Portuguese – Gothic style with a Tuscan exterior and Corinthian interior. This cathedral houses the famous Golden Bell. Walking through the Arch of the Viceroy you approach the Old Goa Jetty where you board the boat. Aboard the boat, buffet dinner is served as you sail up the River Mandovi towards Panjim, while you also have a view of the sunset. Docking at the Panjim Jetty you walk into the city to indulge in a shopping spree before you are dropped back to your respective hotels.
