The Badami cave temples are a complex of temples located at Badami, a town in the Bagalkot District in the north part of Karnataka, India. They are considered an example of Indian rock-cut architecture, especially Badami Chalukya Architecture. Pattadakal, place for Chalukyas Coronation, the capital of the Chalukya dynasty of Karnataka in Southern India, who built the temples between the 7th and 9th centuries. Aihole was the first capital of the early Chalukyas. Here they built over 125 temples in various styles and is said to be a laboratory of experiments in rock cut architecture. Hampi is a village in northern Karnataka.
